Kathleen Long, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist and Consultant. She helps others
by providing consultation, seminars, workshops, and training sessions to help them
make positive changes in their lives, effectively deal with changes or difficulties,
manage stress, and engage in healthy living. She specializes in the evaluation of
adults with a variety of medical and physical disorders, including dementia.
Dr. Long received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University in 1993
and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geropsychology at the Veteran's Administration
Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1994. She worked in the Department of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where she became
Director of the Outpatient Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program, from 1994-1998. She
has been in private practice in New Bern, North Carolina, since 1998.
Dr. Long is a member of the American Psychological Association, North Carolina Psychological
Association, National Acadamy of Neuropsychology, New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce,
Coastal Women's Forum, and is a past Vice President of the New Bern Rotary.
